Maya and Hari at Amboseli, walking to lunch at the top of the hill carrying a ton of camera gear!

Hari's pose for 2 weeks in Africa, either lying down on the seat waiting for the next shot or standing up looking over the top of the open roofed landrover

Refreshments in the middle of the wild, our guides stopped in the middle of nowhere and set this up for us

A typical safari plane, we took half a dozen of flights going from camp to camp on these

Cape Buffalo , our first sighting of one of the big 5. This was a bachelor, they are pretty aggressive and even chase off lions if they have a pack.

Elephant herd at Masai Mara

Black Rhino @ Masai Mara, rare sighting of one of the big 5, there are only about 20 left in all of the Mara

Our hotel at Masai Mara, rear view overlooking the Mara

Dawn view from our room in Masai Mara

The Masai Mara airstrip. No checkin lines, no security, heck not even a starbucks! There's no airport staff at all, you just wait there when your plane is supposed to come in.

Zebra at Masai Mara

This pair of mating lions kept us up all night with their roaring

We were lucky again to see Zebra migrating, and crossing this river

Suddenly a crocodile lunges out of the water and grabs one of the Zebra

The crocodile pulls the Zebra underwater, spinning and trying to drown it

Zebra almost fights free but at the last minute the crocodile grabs it's tail

Another croc grabs the Zebra

And it's all over...

Last shot of the Zebra before it disappears forever

Rare tree climbing lions. There are several in Lake Manyara that climb really high to get at the breeze and scope out game. These guys were on a fallen tree so I don't know if they are real tree climbers.
